So this is a how-to guide for writers who are interested in building a blog from scratch or improving their existing blog.

While it is not difficult to build a better blog (it’s actually quite enjoyable!) it’s definitely a process.

And by process, I mean it is not something that will happen for you overnight.

I’m here to help you speed up the process just a little bit. I’ll share my story and give you a bit more detail about how I can help in the next chapter.

Let me tell you how I’ve laid this out: the guide is broken up into three sections, or three phases.

1. Phase 1 - creating the shell
2. Phase 2 - content
3. Phase 3 - ongoing maintenance

With this project I hope to outline the basic steps I’ve taken to build my blog. This overview should give you a better sense of the big picture - to help you understand what’s involved and what you have ahead of you.

PROJECT GOAL: To assist teen writers in building a blog from scratch and to explain the purposes a blog can serve.

WHY?: I am a teen writer who blogs, and I've learned so much over the past several years about the craft of blogging that I'd like to share. I go into further depth in the next chapter - my story.

MY APPROACH: This is a how-to guide. I've briefly touched on the steps I took to create my blog. I believe Snippet makes this guide easily accessible, especially for teens who have an appreciation for new media.
